Key Metrics

The dashboard highlights four key metrics at the top, providing a high-level summary of your environment:

  1. Total Policies: The total number of policies defined in your environment.
  2. Total Rulesets: The total number of rulesets available for policy enforcement.
  3. Total Rules: The total number of individual rules across all rulesets.
  4. Policy Evaluations (Past 7 days): The total number of policy evaluations performed in the last 7 days.

Each metric card displays the total count and the timestamp of the last update.

Overview Section

The "Overview" section contains two primary visualizations:

Policy Adherence Overview

This chart displays the adherence percentage over time for different policies, such as prod-web-servers and dev-database-access. It helps you track how well your resources are complying with assigned policies and identify any changes in adherence trends.

Evaluations by Policy Name (Past 7 Days)

This pie chart shows the distribution of evaluations by policy name over the last seven days. It provides a quick visual reference to understand which policies are being evaluated most frequently. For example, it might show that dev-database-access accounts for 85% of evaluations while prod-web-servers accounts for 15%.

Policy Compliance Analytics

This section offers a deeper dive into compliance data, with interactive tabs to switch between different policies (e.g., prod-web-servers, dev-database-access).

Policy Compliance for Past 7 Days

This table provides a compliance breakdown for the selected policy over the last week, showing the total counts for:

  • Pass: Evaluations that met the policy requirements.
  • Fail: Evaluations that violated the policy requirements.
  • Skip: Rules that were skipped during evaluation.
  • Warn: Evaluations that triggered a warning.

Overall Pass Rate

This card displays the overall pass rate for the selected policy, along with a trend indicator (e.g., "Stable Trend"). It includes:

  • Latest Check: The date of the most recent evaluation.
  • Pass Rate: The pass percentage from the latest check.
  • vs previous: The change in pass rate compared to the previous evaluation.

Time-Based Analytics

Two charts provide a historical view of compliance trends for the selected policy:

  1. Rule Check Results by Period: A line chart tracking the count of Pass, Fail, Skip, and Warn results over a specific time period.
  2. Pass Rate Trend: A line chart showing the pass rate percentage over time, helping you visualize performance trends.
